KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP/WVLT-TV) -- Tennessee guard Angie Bjorklund has sprained her right foot, and coach Pat Summitt is uncertain if the senior will play Thursday night against Mississippi State.
Associate athletic director for sports medicine Jenny Moshak says she believes Bjorklund's injury happened over time and was not a result of a specific incident. Bjorklund scored seven points in 25 minutes of play in the fifth-ranked Lady Volunteers' 73-53 win against Auburn on Sunday.
The 6-foot Spokane Valley, Wash., native is second on the team this season with an average 11.3 points in 21 contests and is Tennessee's all-time 3-point basket scorer with 283 treys.
Summitt says she may rest Bjorklund on Thursday in anticipation of Sunday's game at Arkansas.
By the way, the Lady Vols will enter both contests ranked 5th in the land. Tennessee remains number five behind Baylor, UConn, Duke and Stanford.
