KNOXVILLE, Tenn (WVLT) -- Tennessee basketball received good news today.
UT announced through its social media accounts that Detrick Mostella has been cleared to play by the NCAA.
Mostella is a 6'3" combo guard, from Decatur, Alabama. Although he enrolled at UT in May, questions about his eligibility arose because he had previously signed a National Letter of Intent to play at Oklahoma State.
Mostella was given a 4-star rating by 247sports.com and is expected to compete for playing time on Donnie Tyndall's team.
Mostella was an all-state basketball honoree in Alabama before transferring and spending his senior year at La Lumiere Academy, in La Porte, IN.
After deciding not to play at Oklahoma State, Mostella spent last year attending Notre Dame Preparatory School in Fitchburg, MA.
