KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Former Tennessee basketball coach Tony Jones has found basketball life after the Volunteers.

Multiple sources have told Sports Overtime contributor Austin Price that Jones will be named Alcoa's head boys' basketball coach Wednesday morning.

From 2005-2011, Jones was Bruce Pearl's top assistant at Tennessee.

Jones was dismissed from the staff when the university fired Pearl March 21 for committing NCAA infractions.

While Pearl served an 8-game conference suspension, Jones coached the Vols to a 5-3 record in SEC play.

The former Vol assistant replaces Micah Marsh. Marsh resigned in late May, after taking over the Tornadoes' program in 2002.
