KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Tennessee freshman guard Jordan McRae has been reinstated to the Volunteers team after serving a two-week suspension for a violation of team conduct rules.
Pearl suspended the Midway, Ga., native indefintely on Jan. 22 while the Vols were in Hartford, Conn. McRae did not play in the loss at Connecticut that day.
McRae practiced Monday but was not going to travel with Tennessee (15-8, 5-3 Southeastern Conference) to Lexington, Ky., for Tuesday's game against No. 18 Kentucky. He will return to all team-related activities after the Vols return.
McRae has played in nine games this season, averaging two points in 5.7 minutes per contest.
