KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Tennessee freshman Devrin Young has suffered a fractured right collarbone.
No word yet on how long the former Bearden High School star will be sidelined, or how he suffered the injury.
The university says Young's status for the season opener against Montana will be determined based on follow-up evaluations.
A return specialist, Young is expected to be a boost for Tennessee's special teams.
Last year, the 5'8" tailback was named Tennessee's Class AAA Mr. Football. Young totaled 7,433 all-purpose yards and 83 touchdowns during his career at Bearden.
