Dooley receives first commitment for 2013

CLEVELAND, Tenn. (WVLT) -- On Saturday, Derek Dooley received another verbal commitment. This time for the class of 2013.

Bradley Central offensive lineman Austin Sanders told Dooley he wants to suit up for the Vols.

"I can't really describe the feeling," Sanders told WVLT Saturday afternoon.

"It's something else, knowing that you are going to go play in the SEC. It's big time ball."

Sanders will soon start his junior year at Bradley Central. Right now, he's 6'5" and 300 pounds. It's that size, and the ability to use it, Sanders feels is his strength.

"I'm a big guy. I'm really strong. I can drive anybody I want to. And I think I'm a smart football player."

Sanders said his relationship with offensive coordinator Jim Chaney and offensive line coach Harry Hiestand had a big impact on his decision to commit to Tennessee.

With two years of high school remaining, Sanders realizes that other schools will continue to recruit him, but he said he is 100 percent on board with Dooley and the Vols.

"I'm committed to UT and nobody else is gonna take me."
