Former Vol to head new prep football program

Knoxville, Tenn. (WVLT) -- After a six-month hiring process that saw more than 175 applicants, Concord Christian high school football is set to become a reality in the fall of 2014. The committee interviewed nine finalists for the position, and after hours of conversation and prayer, is excited to announce that Troy Fleming was offered the position and has accepted.

Coach Fleming is an ordained minister whose deep devotion to the Lord, his wife and his children will make him an outstanding addition to the CCS family. His playing career (Tennessee Vol, Tennessee Titan) and coaching experience (at three other local schools) demanded an interview, but the impact he stands to make on the students and families of Concord Christian School and the Lion Football program made him the committee’s first choice. He will also serve as Chaplain and teach business and Bible.
