Chattanooga, ( UTC) University of Tennessee at Chattanooga football coach Russ Huesman announced the addition of Kevin Revis to the Mocs program today. Revis, a 6-2, 275-pound offensive lineman, is transferring from Tennessee and has three years of eligibility remaining.
"We are excited about Kevin joining our program," stated Huesman. "He had a lot of options, but he liked what we are doing at Chattanooga and decided to come here and compete for a job. He can certainly help us on the offensive line where we lost a lot to graduation."
Revis is projected to compete for one of the starting guard spots. UTC lost center Justin Galyon, right guard T.J. Hurless and left tackle Chris Harr to graduation last season. That group had a total of 102 combined career starts over the last four years.
After redshirting at Tennessee is 2009, Revis saw action in one game last season. He came off the bench against Ole Miss for his only appearance with the Vols.
A native of Evensville, Tenn., Revis was a highly-touted recruit coming out of Rhea County High School in 2008. He was a three-star prospect according to Rivals.com and was named to the Knoxville News-Sentinel's Top-20 Prospects in Tennessee. He was a member of the Chattanooga Times Free Press Best of Preps First Team and was a finalist for the Tennessee Mr. Football Award as a senior.
