Knoxville, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Hats off to Peyton Manning. No surprise the former Vol is the AFC
player of the week after tying an NFL record with seven touchdown passes in last Thursday's opener with the Baltimore Ravens.
It's the 24th time Manning's won the award. That's tops in the NFL and one ahead of fellow QB tom brady of the Patriots.
Manning became the fifth player in league history to throw seven touchdown passes in the game and the first since Joe Kapp did it
back in 1969.
