KNOXVILLE (WVLT) -- Social media has been a buzz this afternoon with word of a possible deal offered to Alabama executive director of athletics Dave Hart for the open AD position with the University of Tennessee.

Local 8 Sports has confirmed from sources within the University of Tennessee that UT officials have talked with Hart, but no offer (has been) made at this point.

And early Thursday evening, the University of Alabama confirmed
that by saying the two sides have talked, but no decision has been
made.

Sources from within in the University tell us that there is no timetable for a decision to be made.
