Source: WR Da'Rick Rodgers may be off squad for now

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Possible trouble for star wide receiver Da'Rick Rogers, who may have fallen out of favor with head coach Derek Dooley.

Several reports indicate that while Rogers is not officially suspended, he may not be part of the team right now. So far, the University of Tennessee is denying the reports and says Rogers is still on the team.

The situation may be similar to the one Janzen Jackson faced last year in that Rogers now has a chance to work his way back into Coach Derek Dooley's good graces.

Despite working with three different quarterbacks through the season, Rogers still managed to pile up over 1,000 receiving yards in what turned out to be a disappointing season for the Vols.

The motto at UT must be only the players that want to play as a team and win as a team are invited. Also included is a free education that will last a lifetime and make you a successful after football.

How about we leave the discipline to the staff who know the facts. We all have opinions but have very few of the facts from inside the organization. If he disrespected his coaches then kick him off the team. I along with all true Vol fans would rather lose all the games if it meant having players who do respect the opportunity and honor that goes with being a true Vol.

I talked with this HS coach in East Tennessee who said its not bad coaching at UT, its some bad apples on the team. He didn't give names.

Dooley has no control and less coaching ability. Hope he stays at UT for years. All you Ut fans enjoy the bottom of the SEC.

How about we just suspend Dooley permanently? Cause he ain't getting back in anyones good graces.
