KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Tennessee head coach Derek Dooley says any punishment for linebacker Austin Johnson will be handled internally.
Dooley also said the senior won't miss any practice time. Tennessee opens up fall camp Tuesday.
Johnson was arrested in the early hours of July 24 on charges of public intoxication and disorderly conduct.
Johnson is listed as the team's starting weakside linebacker in the school's media guide.
Dooley says he was shocked to learn of Johnson's incident because the 22-year old doesn't have a history of causing trouble. Dooley also said that nobody is more disappointed in Johnson's actions than Johnson himself.
Johnson is scheduled to be in court Thursday.
