Vols get commitment from big DL

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - While Derek Dooley is getting his Vols ready for a matchup with Georgia this weekend, he gained a big addition to his 2012 recruiting class.

Danny O'Brien, a 6-3, 300 pound DL from Luke Powers Catholic in Saginaw, Michigan announced on Thursday his intentions to attend Tennessee.

UT was the first school to offer O'Brien. He chose the Vols over several other schools including in-state school Michigan.

O'Brien is ranked among the top 20 defensive tackles nationally and is listed as a four-star recruit by rivals and scout.com.
