KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The Tennessee football team has lost its second wide receiver in as many weeks.
According to the Belleville News Democrat, Matt Milton is transferring from Tennessee to Louisville.
Tuesday afternoon, Milton posted on his Twitter account (@MattMilton85) "Got the good word just now.... Louisville Slugger booooooyyyy."
Later Tuesday evening, Milton then posted: "Thanks for all the love support. Tough decision but I'm happy to be a riding with the cardinal nation!"
Last week, freshman wide receiver DeAnthony Arnett was granted a release from Tennessee to Michigan State. The Michigan native wanted to leave UT to be closer to his ill father.
The 6'5" Milton never caught on with the Vols. Last season, he had just one catch for 12 yards. As a freshman he played in four games, but never registered a pass.
The article says Milton seeked the transfer to be closer to home because of a family illness, as well as playing time.
