I do not remember how it happened, but I have known exactly what I want to do since I was 10 years old. I followed through with that dream, and it is why I am here in Knoxville: reporting the news.
My journey here to east Tennessee was not quite that simple. I was born in New Orleans, but went to high school in Houston.
I was ready to move out of Texas, so I went to the University of Missouri. While I was at Mizzou, I also worked at KOMU-TV, the Columbia NBC affiliate. I reported, anchored, produced content, and also managed the web site. I’m proud to be a Tiger and a graduate of the School of Journalism.
My first job took me to WYMT in Hazard, Kentucky. I reported on issues facing the region, which covered all of southeastern Kentucky. I made so many memories and found great friends, and loved my two years there.
Now, I’m two hours south down I-75 in Knoxville and I’ve loved every minute here. I’m excited to see everything the area has to offer: the lakes, Smoky Mountains, and of course VOLS games.
The thing I love most about my job is meeting new people and learning something every day. If you see me working, or even just going to the store, I want to hear your story.
