Before moving to Knoxville, I was a reporter and anchor for KOMU in Columbia, Missouri. I wore a lot of hats in the newsroom spending time in the field, updating the web, and producing newscasts. I also wrote and anchored for news analysis site Newsy.com as well as the Huffington Post/AOL.
I'm a self-proclaimed political nerd who's spent time interning on the Hill in the House of Representatives and working as a statehouse reporter at the Missouri State Capitol in Jefferson City providing content for St. Louis's KMOX and local NPR.
I'm a proud graduate of the University of Missouri (go Tigers!) where I studied broadcast journalism and political science. While I was there, I spent a semester abroad in Brussels, Belgium, interning and field producing for international news wire service Thomson Reuters.
When I'm not reporting I love to travel, especially to visit family in Texas and Florida and friends scattered across the country. I can't cook, but I'm a foodie who loves to try new restaurants and cuisines.
I spend a lot of time on Twitter and Facebook, so feel free to find me there. I'd love to hear your stories
