Local 8 News anchor
Growing up in Southwest Virginia, East Tennesee reminds me so much of home so I’m happy to be part of the Local 8 News Team.
I spent the past few years as a reporter/anchor at WSLS-TV in Roanoke, Virginia, which is the station I grew up watching. I started my career in the Wild and Wonderful West Virginia, where I was a reporter/anchor at WVNS 59 News in Beckley. I've covered some major breaking stories including the Upper Big Branch Mine explosion, the shootings at Virginia Tech and a variety of enterprise stories from the people and places I grew up around, near Roanoke. I graduated from Concord University with a degree in broadcast journalism.
I've been thankful to stay close to home, since I'm very close with my family. I think the absolute favorite part of my job is meeting new people and really becoming part of the community. I'm looking forward to doing that here in East Tennesee.
While I'm not working, you’ll find me hanging out with family and friends, enjoying the outdoors or playing my violin.
