Local 8 News anchor and multimedia journalist
I come to the beautiful mountains of East Tennessee after leaving the Song and Soul of the South. Prior to joining the Local 8 team, I worked as a weekday morning anchor and reporter at 41NBC/WMGT in Macon, Georgia for nearly 4 years. While working in Macon, I had the opportunity to cover everything from NASCAR races at Atlanta Motor Speedway to the brutal murder of a Mercer Law graduate. And because I’m a self-proclaimed foodie, I started a cooking segment.
I was born in San Diego and raised in Tampa. I graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelors degree in Mass Communications. In college, I worked as an anchor and reporter for USF's daily newscast, “Florida Focus.” I also interned at WFLA News Channel 8.
I feel truly blessed to live my dream in a city filled with Southern grace and stunning scenery. When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with my dog, Redding. He's a rescue named after Otis Redding. I also like to cook, practice yoga and explore the outdoors.
Feel free to email me - I'm always looking for a good story to tell and I love meeting new people.
