Thank you for stopping by local8now.com and and checking out my bio. I'll give you the "in a nutshell" version!
I came to WVLT in 1997, planning to spend a few years, then move on to "bigger and better" things. However, since the birth of my two daughters, I've realized "bigger" doesn't always go with "better," and East Tennessee is a great place to raise a family. So, I stayed.
I've been in broadcasting for more than twenty five years. At the age of 17, I started my radio career at WLSM in my hometown of Louisville, Mississippi, and later worked for 92-KOR while attending college at Mississippi State University. A move to WZYP in Huntsville, Alabama, soon followed. Finally, after working at HOT-95 in Jackson, Mississippi, my radio days came to a close in 1995 at Q-101 in Meridian, Mississippi. TV news came next thanks to my friends at WTOK-TV in Meridian, where I spent two years. In 1997, I made the move to Knoxville and WVLT VOLUNTEER TV.
I hope you'll join Michele Silva and me each weekday morning on East Tennessee This Morning. Or on Volunteer TV News at Noon with Allison Kropff. If you have any questions, shoot me a Facebook message below. Thanks for having us, I look forward to hearing from you!
