And I didn’t think I had allergies until I moved to Knoxville,
It would figure one of my first weeks on air I would have a massive allergy attack and lose my voice. The good news is I have my voice back and couldn’t be happier to have that warm Tennessee welcome.
Originally born and raised in Bel Air, Maryland; moving farther South has always been a dream of mine. I couldn’t be happier to be in Knoxville, Tennessee where it’s okay to adorn my cowgirl gear, listen to country music and say “folks” without being criticized.
Even though I’m a Maryland girl…I spent the last eight years in wild and wonderful West Virginia. During that time I attended West Virginia Wesleyan College where I graduated with a B.A in Communications. While finishing exams my senior year of college, I received my first position at WDTV in Clarksburg, West Virginia. Now, I am working on my Meteorology degree from Mississippi State and hope to be finished with it in the near future.
Weather has always been a passion of mine, especially thunderstorms and hurricanes. It is always changing, at times unwieldy, and there is no telling what Mother Nature will choose to do…I have a true admiration for the power of nature.
Some might say I’m a high-energy individual, which I totally agree with, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’m a diehard football and hockey fan and cannot wait to attend my first UT and Ice Bears’ games. In my down time I do enjoy baking, doing pilaties and traveling.
Knoxville is a special place where you can hit the downtown or head out to the country and still be in the same city. I feel truly blessed to be here in East Tennessee and look forward to getting to know you.
