I come from sunny South Florida where I grew up at the beach, boating and catching the rays but traded it all for the natural beauty of East Tennessee.
Prior to joining the WVLT family, I served as a video journalist for the South Florida News Service, a partnership between three of Miami’s local newspapers and FIU’s School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
I’m a graduate of Florida International University where I studied broadcast journalism and Sociology, and worked as a staff writer for FIU’s student-run newspaper The Beacon.
Throughout my college years, I interned at WFTS in Tampa, FL; WFOR in Miami, FL; and WTVJ where I co-produced a 3-month award winning investigation on horse theft and slaughter for human consumption, “The Last Ride.”
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time in the outdoors, meeting new people and catching up with family and friends.
