Local 8 Meteorologist
Over my 20-plus-year career as a television meteorologist I have literally worked in every portion of the country; to say I am well-traveled would be an understatement. From California to Connecticut, Bozeman to Birmingham, I have gotten firsthand knowledge of almost every weather phenomenon possible. Now I have found a home in East Tennessee and use that knowledge to keep you safe and informed. I am also looking forward to keeping the Smoky Mountains in my backyard for many years to come.
I have a passion for forecasting the weather and have the Seal of Approval from the National Weather Association and am a member of the American Meteorological Society. I was awarded the “Certificate of Excellence” for Broadcast Meteorology by the Colorado Broadcasters Association and continue to strive for excellence each and every forecast.
I love getting out in the community. School visits are a high priority and I've written two children’s books about the weather, “The Adventures of Robbie the Raindrop” and “Wally the Weather Detective”. So, if you’d like to “talk weather” with me at your school, let me know.
In my spare time I enjoy driving around exploring the region, going to movies and watching ice hockey.
