Heather Haley is a Local 8 News Meteorologist/Reporter

As a Knoxville native, I love living and working in East Tennessee.

I studied Journalism and Electronic Media at the University of Tennessee and even interned at WVLT while in school. And in 2012, I graduated with my Broadcast Meteorology degree from Mississippi State University. I strive to be someone you can depend on, whether I'm reporting news story or bringing you your weather forecast. I'm now on Local 8 News This Morning, Monday through Friday from 5AM to 7AM. She also forecasts for the Local 8 News at noon.

My husband and I had our first child, a boy, in July 2012. Our pets are the other important members of our family. We have two dogs, a Husky and a teacup Poodle. I know: what a combo! But they're great together and both are rescues.

Outside of work, I love projects; all types of artistic crafts, such as making jewelry, scrapbooking, and sewing. I greatly enjoy taking on do-it-yourself projects around the house. We love to be outside, whether it's taking the dogs to the park or camping.

If you see me out and about, please don't hesitate to say hi. One of the best parts of my job is that I get to meet new people everyday.
