Free Legal Advice Clinic
Event Dates and Times
Blount County Public Library, 508 N. Cusick St., Maryville, TN 37804
Saturday, October 14, 9 a.m. until 12 noon. “Free Legal Advice Clinic.” Anyone can receive legal advice from lawyers free of charge regardless of socio-economic status at the Free Legal Advice Clinic. Lawyers from the Blount County Bar Association and Legal Aid of East Tennessee will be available to answer legal questions. However, the scope of the program is limited. The Free Legal Clinic will not create an attorney-client relationship unless separately memorialized by agreement of the potential attorney and client after the Free Legal Clinic's conclusion. Therefore, participants should not expect that counsel would otherwise continue beyond the Clinic itself. The program's coordinator is Kathryn Ellis, attorney with Legal Aid of East Tennessee who is the Pro Bono Project Director. For more information regarding this program, please contact Legal Aid of East Tennessee at 307 Ellis Avenue, Maryville, Tennessee 37801, (865) 981-1818. The clinic will be in the Sharon Lawson Room and Board Room of the library.
