Knoxville girl burned from falling into campfire in Smokies

A 2-year-old Knoxville girl is being treated for burns after falling into a campfire in Great Smoky Mountains National Park Saturday evening.

Great Smoky Mountains National Park (WVLT)-- A 2-year-old Knoxville girl is undergoing treatment for non-life threatening burns suffered when she fell into a campfire Saturday evening. It happened in The Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
Park spokesperson Dana Soehn tells Local 8 News the accident happened at the Cades Cove Campground. She adds the girl was burned over approximately 15% of her body.
