Hot weather is on the horizon for area boaters and those of you who love the pools and water parks. For all of you runners and walkers, use the early part of the day.
Case in point; tomorrow will be 64 in the morning. That's the best time to jog, not when it's 87 in the afternoon. Highs in the upper 80's will stay with us through the weekend. Even the mornings will be muggy by this weekend with lows of 67 - 70.
Isolated storms will pop up this weekend also. But, we see them most of the time in the late afternoon and evening, and mostly around the mountains. Rain chances are about 20% in the valley, and 40% near the Tennessee / North Carolina border.
No major weather features are on the map to change this typical summer pattern right now. But, that could quickly change in the Gulf of Mexico. After all, it is Hurricane season. We'll watch it from here !!
